Whisk Mobile Development ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of users ("you", "your") of our iOS applications ("Apps"). This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use Workout Writer. This policy applies to Workout Writer and any future updates or versions of the app.

1. Information We Collect

We do not collect or store any personal information from users of Workout Writer. Our application operates primarily on your device, however, we collect minimal data for essential functionality and improvements.

Sentry

We use Sentry, a third-party service, for crash reporting and performance monitoring. This service collects anonymous technical details such as:

• Crash reports and error logs
• Performance metrics (app response times, memory usage)
• Device information (device type, operating system version)
• App version and build number

This data is used solely to improve app stability and performance. We never collect or store personally identifiable information through Sentry or any other service.

Shared Content

If you create a link or QR code to share a workout, the text of that workout may be stored on our servers so it can be viewed by the recipient.

2. Data Usage and Sharing

We do not share any personal data with third parties. Workout Writer operates primarily on your device, with minimal data transmission limited to:

• Sentry: Crash reports and anonymous performance data sent to Sentry. All data transmitted to Sentry is anonymous and cannot be used to identify individual users.
• Garmin Connect: To allow you to save and schedule your workouts. When you choose to send a workout to your Garmin Connect account, the app acts solely as an intermediary. We only communicate with Garmin on your behalf and only when you explicitly request it. We do not store or access your Garmin Connect credentials or workout data.
• Google Firebase/Gemini: To provide AI-generated workouts. When you use the "Generate" feature, your prompt is sent to Google Gemini to create your workout. This is processed anonymously.

3. Beta Testing and Mailing List

If you choose to sign up as a beta tester or join our mailing list, we collect the name and email address you provide. This information is used solely to manage beta access and to communicate with you about the app.

For beta testing, your details are shared with Apple App Store Connect / TestFlight so that you can be invited to install and use beta versions of the app.

Providing this information is entirely optional and requires manual input from you. We do not collect personal information automatically, and we do not sell or share your data for advertising or tracking purposes.

You can request removal from the beta program or mailing list at any time. Any emails we send will include an unsubscribe option.

4. AI Generation and Data Use

Workout Writer includes an optional AI-powered workout generation feature.

User-Initiated Only

AI generation occurs only when you explicitly request it by pressing the "Generate" button.

Workout Writer does not perform any AI processing in the background, automatically, or without a direct user action.

Data Sent for AI Generation

When you request AI generation, the app may send the following limited information to an external AI service solely to generate the requested workout:

• The workout prompt you enter (for example, "A 5km intervals run").
• Any distance or duration guidance you've selected for the workout.
• The names of any effort or intensity tags you have created (for example, "Tempo" or "Threshold").

No Personal or Health Data

Workout Writer does not send any personally identifiable information, health data, or sensitive information as part of AI generation.

The data sent for AI generation is limited strictly to the content you choose to provide in your prompt and tags.

5. Security

We prioritize the security of your data. As we do not collect or transmit any personal information, there are no security concerns regarding personal data transmission or storage. Anonymous technical data sent to Sentry is transmitted over encrypted connections using industry-standard transport security (such as HTTPS/TLS).

6. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in legal requirements or our services. You will know if this policy has been revised since your last visit to the website or the App by referring to the “Effective Date” at the top of this webpage.
